Two-tone bone koru pendant by Tonijae Brockway
Sleek, well designed and beautifully hand crafted.
Standout detailing makes this a very striking pendant. Tonijae has coloured particular parts of the bone with a light brown stain creating a wonderful visual contrast of colours that accentuate the pendants form, and provide subtle detailing that otherwise could be lost. She uses a special staining technique that enable this precise definition of colours. This piece is carved from a single piece of bone.
CARRIED BY THE WIND is a medium sized pendant and is provided with an adjustable length cord.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.

CARRIED BY THE WIND is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch. Also included our 'Kia Ora' card, which explains the meaning behind the Koru design.
