COUGAR - A hand carved Woolly Mammoth Tusk pendant for all you lovers of the mighty PUMA, or as it is known in North America - the COUGAR!
A beautiful piece of work, hand carved with just enough detail to give this pendant a realistic aura. Carved in mammoth tusk with inset amber eyes, this is a gorgeous piece.

NOTE: these two pieces have 'repair' inserts on the back. The mammoth was too beautiful to discard so we replaced a couple of softer spots with solid mammoth inserts. These are confined to the back of the piece.
We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.
We love the Amber that has been used for the eyes - a really striking feature. To compliments this puma's wonderful eyes we added a Burnt Gold floret and slip knots to accentuate its' features.
