METTLE - A Stand Out, One of a Kind, Jade Koru Pendant. 

METTLE - a person’s ability to cope with difficulties, or their spirit & determination when facing tough situations

Mae Latham has carved something quietly remarkable here - a four-tipped koru pendant from superb dark green Marsden jade that is not one piece, but two, sharing the same stone.

One side is carved with fine detail, the koru design brought to life through careful texture and form. Beautiful. Intentional. Complete.

Turn it over, and the other side speaks a different language. Here the surface is smooth - and contains a gorgeous surprise... a four-tipped rolling star emerges from the negative space left by the front carving. It is subtle, unexpected, and equally beautiful.

Which side is the front? Both. Neither. You decide.

The outer edge is wrapped in a distinctive macrame-style binding that frames the jade beautifully, a signature touch from Mae that sets this piece apart. The stone is faultless, finished in a soft glossy matte that will grow brighter with wear.
