This is an exceptional piece - a beautifully carved design which highlights a very unique piece of translucent inanga jade. This jade is quite rare, particularly with the stark division apparent in this piece. We have used a hand plaited Silver Grey cord for the necklace to highlight the soft grey green tones in the stone.
We have one of these only.
The Hook: The wearer of a Hei-Matau is seen as a provider and protector who is strong willed and determined to succeed in life - what a lovely sentiment to gift to someone important to you.
The Koru: the Māori word for 'loop'. The spiral shaped koru design represents an unfolding silver fern frond. The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of new life, new beginnings, hope and rebirth.
Included in the price is shipping to you with DHL Express Courier. We also include our 'Kia Ora Cards' explaining the meanings behind both the hook and koru designs.
