TIRIHOU - a beautiful, Kea pendant, carved in Bone with New Zealand Jade inlaid eyes.

Carved from bone, this pendant captures a kea mid-swoop, its wings swept back and head tilted at that signature inquisitive angle. The artist has emphasised the bird’s curved beak and clever eye - just slightly asymmetrical, as though it’s sizing you up for an unzipped backpack or an unattended boot.

For anyone who’s hiked New Zealand’s Southern Alps and had a kea boldly hop toward their lunch, this piece needs no explanation - it’s the cheeky mountain mischief-maker, frozen in a moment of glorious, loveable trouble.
