WILLOW - a stylised Koru pendant. For us, a symbol of new beginnings and the sense of freedom starting over brings...
WILLOW is designed and carved by Madelyne Gourdin. Madeline is a new artist for us, and we are delighted to have a little of her work in our collection. This piece is a mixture of different ways of carving a Koru. It is inspired by nature and the young ferns that are plentiful in New Zealand bush.
WILLOW is carved from rare Nelson Pounamu - this stone comes from the top of the South Island in New Zealand and displays the most wonderful colours. WILLOW exhibits pale greens with a hint of lilac - unusual and beautiful!
WILLOW can be worn reversed - each side is quite distinct and shows the wonderful carving and design. A lovely pendant.
The KORU, represents a young, unfurling fern frond opening and bringing new life and purity to the world. It also represents peace, tranquility and spirituality, along with a strong sense of growth or new beginnings.
It is a symbol that the strong bond of friendship, loyalty and love lasts forever.
Shipped with Express Courier. We will also include our 'Kia Ora' card, explaining the meaning behind the koru design.
