WINDOW TO THE SOUL - Beautiful New Zealand Jade Tiki

A study in classic form and consistent material. Carved from mid-green jade of remarkable uniformity, this medium tiki adopts the traditional upright stance - tilted head and hands braced on the thighs. The clean, uninterrupted stone emphasises the strength of the carving, and inset paua shell eyes bring a flash of life to the figure.

They say the tiki arrived with the dawn, when the sky was still figuring out what blue should look like. Part ancestor, part embryo, part roadmap to the unseen. Women once pressed it between their palms like a secret during childbirth, not begging for mercy, but tapping into a lineage of grit and grace.
