FOUR FERNS is a complex koru pendant carved from a dark piece of New Zealand jade for us by Ross Crump. It is a complex koru design - a semi-circular shape with four small koru carved through the body. It resembles an unfurling fern frond, the plant that the koru design traditionally depicts. This is a lovely piece - large, bold and beautifully carved.
Look at the photos and watch the brief video to see this piece from every angle. This is an eye-catching, chunky piece of jewellery. Perfect if you appreciate handcrafted jewellery with presence.
The Koru, represents a young, unfurling fern frond opening and bringing new life and purity to the world. It also represents peace, tranquility and spirituality, along with a strong sense of growth or new beginnings.
Paired with a four plait cord in Dark Brown and Khaki with a little floret popper in Brown to complement the koru design. The cord colour picks up and contrasts the colour nuances in the stone.
Delivered to you on a Four Plait Khaki/Brown adjustable cord and shipped with DHL Express Courier. We will also include one of our 'Kia ora' cards which explains the meaning behind the Koru design.
