KORU OF LIFE - carved from a glorious piece of Columbian jade.
This piece really has it all - superbly carved, the stone is a clean, bright green and the design is fanciful and very attractive. The koru is a design that is often seen in South Pacific carving. It is a positive, future oriented symbol signifying new life, and conveys a gentle, peaceful air.
Carved by Jen Hung, a fabulous jade carver from the West Coast we discovered on a recent road trip through the South Island. Jen is an artist first and foremost. The pieces we have from her are all 'one-off' works. This piece came from her personal collection and is an example of jade carving at its best. The design is balanced and every facet is finished beautifully. This is a piece to own, wear and treasure.
Take a moment to view the video - this shows the piece slowly rotating and will give you a good look at the shape, the colour of the stone and the quality of the carving.
This is provided on an adjustable cord hand made from artist Jen Hung.
Delivered to you with DHL Express Courier.
We will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the koru design.
