An elegant and striking pendant carved from mammoth tusk that's over 30,000 years old - a beautiful and ancient material.
We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.
We love the teardrop conclusion to this traditional double twist. It is a graceful representation of a carving which symbolises friendship, partnership and love.
These have been carved from woolly mammoth tusk, recovered from the Alaskan tundra. It is a gorgeous, honey-gold colour with a fabulous grain.
The twist: symbol of friendship, partnership and loyalty
The drop: healing and comfort
