VOLCANIC - a glorious Marsden Flower jade Toki.

This is a flawlessly carved piece which really shows off the gorgeous flower jade it is carved from. It has wonderful colour variation down the length of the toki - a mix of minty greens, soft lemony yellows and veins of brand and darker greens. It looks like a relief map of the area the jade was born in!

Raegan has bound it with a Black Spiral cord and lashing - taking nothing away from the glorious stone. This is a 'one only' piece :)

From the Marsden Valley on the West Coast of New Zealand, a wild and remote area that produces some of the nicest jade around! VOLCANIC is a wonderful reflection of the place the stone was born.

A little about the Toki Design:

The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.

The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life's challenges.

We have one only, and this piece will be removed from our site when sold. We will also include one of our 'Kia Ora' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
