"Our work is a reflection of shared creativity in a collaborative partnership, an emphasis on organic and contemporary forms being a reflection of what resonates best with us. We seek out the more unusual and rarer varieties of pounamu particularly, albeit the most difficult to work!

We appreciate the endless satisfaction in the process of discovery as each individual stone is cut and ground down to reveal its own unique inner essence. Our journey with pounamu is never ending - it just continues to unfold. We do feel blessed to be able to both express our creativity and earn a living - it is a situation we never take for granted".

What we love: 

• The quality of the carving. Take the time to view the photos and videos of these pieces and you will see that each piece is carved with precision and grace - no easy feat given the toughness and unpredictability of our jade.
• The quality of the material. Brian selects and uses some of the most beautiful jade New Zealand produces.
• Last, but by no means least, the quality of the binding. Brian's wife Hene binds all of their pieces. She uses a variety of colours to best complement the type and colour of the jade used. What we really value is the precision of the work - we don't often see such lovely binding and think that it adds to the beauty of each piece - take a look and you will see what we mean.
